PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a color cathode ray tube is provided an optical absorbability to a film for preventing static electricity, thereby reducing a fatigue of a user. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a color cathode ray tube comprises steps of mounting a target mainly made of IT within a vacuum chamber, exerting a physical force while injecting oxygen, controlling a mount of the injected oxygen, forming a film(102) for preventing static electricity and forming a film(103) for preventing reflection which has a different refractive index from that of the film for preventing static electricity and has a lower reflex ratio than that. The film for preventing static electricity has also a function of an optical absorbability in an extent of a visible light area of 400-780nm.
