PURPOSE: A composition for forming a conductive film improved in conductivity, contrast characteristics, resolution and mechanical strength and cathode ray tube equipped with the conductive film are provided which give the CRT improved in physical properties. CONSTITUTION: A composition comprises 0.01 to 1.0% by weight of conductive black pigment fine particles, 0.03 to 0.5% by weight of a conductive polymer, 0.1 to 10% by weight of a binding agent, 0.01 to 0.2% by weight of a pigment fine particle for controlling wavelength, and a solvent based on the total weight of a solid. The conductive black pigment fine particles are one or more selected from carbon black, titanium black and silver oxide. The cathode ray tube adopted the conductive film reduces light transmittance to maximum 30%, improves contrast characteristics, has excellent color purity and exhibits high quality body color.
