PURPOSE: A level shifter circuit is provided to enhance the applicability by efficiently performing shift operations of the level-up and the level-down according to the change of the digital logic characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A comparator(31) compares an inputted up/down control signal and a reference signal(Vref) and disables either of a level-up shifter(32) and a level-down shifter(32) according to the up/down control signal. The level-up shifter(33) levels up an input voltage by a level-up/level-down shifters(32, 33) disable signal of the comparator(31). The level-down shifter(33) levels down the input voltage by the level-up/level-down shifters(32, 33) disable signal of the comparator(1). An analog multiplexer(34) selectively outputs a level-up signal or a level-down signal outputted from the level-up shifter(32) or the level-down shifter(33).
