MICROORGANISM PRODUCING 5'-INOSINIC ACID AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A microorganism, especially a streptomycin-resistant mutant of Brevibacterium ammoniagenes CS1019753(KFCC-10814), which produces 5'-inosinic acid, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain high concentration and high yield of 5'-inosinic acid. The method is characterized by that very little other by-product and impurity exist in the fermentation medium by directly fermenting Brevibacterium ammoniagenes CISM20(KFCC-11069). CONSTITUTION: Brevibacterium ammoniagenes CISM20(KFCC-11069) which is a mutant strain of Brevibacterium sp. requires adenine and biotin as viable conditions, is sensitive to lysozyme, is viable at over 3500 microg/mL of 3.4-dihydroproline, and has resistance against 2000 microg/mL of sulfonate streptomycin. A method for preparing Brevibacterium ammoniagenes CISM20(KFCC-11069) comprises the following steps of: conferring streptomycin-resistance to the parent strain, Brevibacterium ammoniagenese CS1019753(KFCC-10814) by mutagenesis; culturing and screening the resultant Brevibacterium ammoniagenes CISM20(KFCC-11069); comparing streptomycin concentration which Brevibacterium ammoniagenes CISM20 resists against with the parent strain; and producing the 5'-inosinic acid by directly fermenting the mutant in the fermentation medium containing streptomycin.
