PURPOSE: A paper supply controller of a printer and a method for supplying a paper are provided to suppress the jam generation between papers by regulating the time to pick up a paper from a paper supply cassette corresponding to a circulation period change of a photosensitive belt. CONSTITUTION: A paper is picked up by the set up paper pick-up reference time until a photosensitive belt is circulated one time from a first page printing point. When a paper supply signal is kept to continue to image-print, it is determined whether the next recognition pattern arrival signal is input. When the next recognition pattern arrival signal is input, a generation interval time between the previously input recognition pattern arrival signal and the present input recognition pattern arrival signal is output. The interval time of the arrival signal generation is corresponded to the time of a second timer(52) counted at a point that the recognition pattern arrival signal is input. Herein, the time data counted in the second timer is obtained at a point of judging that the recognition pattern arrival signal is input. At the same time, counting is started again by resetting the first and second timers. |
