PURPOSE: A flat fluorescent lamp is provided to optimize the size of gas pressure, applied voltage, and the amount of current. CONSTITUTION: A flat fluorescent lamp includes upper and lower substrates(1,2), a glass compartment structure(6), and a fluorescent material(3,4). The charge area and the glass compartment structure(6) are formed on the upper and the lower substrates by using glass forming operation. The fluorescent material(3,4) is applied on the upper and the lower substrate, respectively. Terminals are implemented on both ends of the fluorescent. The flat lamp is formed by combining upper and lower substrates.
