PURPOSE: A method for searching a domain on the internet is provided so that a user can easily confirm domain names, by displaying a list of the domain names in the order of alphabetical letters or numbers as in a dictionary. CONSTITUTION: An administrator builds an information search service site(S21), and encourages administrators of various sites to register their domain names(S22). An internet user accesses to the information search service site, inputs a domain name into a domain search engine as a search word, and demands a search result(S23). It is confirmed whether the inputted domain name(search word) is included in the registered domain names. Thereafter, a list of the domain names including the search word is displayed in the order of alphabetical letters or numbers(S24). That is, the domain names are displayed as in a dictionary, and thus the user can easily confirm a wanted domain name and rapidly move to a wanted site. In addition, even if the user knows a part of the domain name, he/she can search the domain name. Moreover, when the user intends to register a domain name, he/she can confirm similar domain names.
