ERROR COMPENSATION METHOD AND ERROR COMPENSATION DEVICE USING THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To partially substitute a re-transmitted packet at a bit level by detecting an error from a newly generated bit string and dealing with the bit string as regular received data when a code error cannot be detected. SOLUTION: When a reception station receives a packet, it detects the code error of the received packet. When the code error exists, the packet is once preserved in an intermediate buffer (S1-S3). When the reception of the packet is not the first time, the corresponding packet and the packet which is received this time are synthesized and a new bit string is generated (S4 and S5). The number of the patterns of the new bit string which is newly generated becomes plural in general and the plural new bit strings are independently code error- checked (S6-S8). When the packet without the code error is detected in the bit strings, one pattern is selected from the packet and the pattern with the error code is canceled (S9-S10).
