PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide system where a central station and a plurality of terminal stations are interconnected by two signal lines which adopts a but configuration, two-way communication is conducted in a short time and power is supplied from the central station to the terminal stations. SOLUTION: Communication from the central station 1 to the terminal stations 2 is conducted with complementary voltage signals transmitted through two signal lines, the central station 1 communicates with the terminal stations 2, by using the signal lines and each of the terminal stations 2 activates an external device. Each terminal station 2 obtains a state of the external device in parallel at the same time, and communication from each terminal station 2 to the central station 1 is conducted by using a current signal through the signal line. The power of the terminal stations 2 is obtained by rectifying the complementary voltage signal on the two signal lines.
