A pick-up baler has means for delivering material gathered by the side pick-up mechanism to the compression chamber, comprising two spaced finger assemblies pivoted on cranks and linked to give an orbital and oscillatory motion to their feeding portions. Each bale is bound in two positions and wires are fed from below and above the baling chamber and joined by tying or twisting means, which may be as described in Specification 834,804.
