PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a keyboard used for a small portable terminal. SOLUTION: Plural key elements 14 are installed in respective keys in a keyboard 11. The key basic valid range 15 of the key whose key element 14 is depressed the most is specified. The key corresponding to the key basic valid range 15 is set to be a temporary key. When the number of the depressed key elements in the key enlargement valid range 16 of the temporary key is not less than a prescribed reference value and the number of the depressed key elements out of the key enlargement valid range 16 is not more than the prescribed reference value, the temporary key is decided to be the depressed key. Even if an operator depresses the key by surpassing a key top range, a system does not become a state where the plural keys are simultaneously depressed.
