<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with good viewing field characteristics and no irregular luminance or driving voltage loss. SOLUTION: The transverse electric field type liquid crystal display device 5 has a first substrate 1a, second substrate 1b and nematic liquid crystal 4 interposed between the substrates. On the first substrate 1a, electrodes 10, 11, 13, 14 are formed through an insulating film 20 on one surface of the substrate, and a polymer film 15 having >4 relative dielectric const. at 25 deg.C is laminated thereon to flatten the surface.</p> |
