摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability by preventing the deterioration of thin-film transistors(TFTs) which occurs due to the heat generated by the drive circuit section of a polycrystalline semiconductor TFT array of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: The surface of the polycrystalline semiconductor TFT array substrate 20 constituting the liquid crystal panel 10 has a cooling section. The cooling section consists of metallic films 60 which are deposited by evaporation onto the horizontal drive circuit section 90 and vertical drive circuit section 100 on the surface of the array substrate 20, a semiconductor element 70 which comes into contact with the metallic films 60 and for which a Peltier effect is utilized and a heat sink 80 which comes into contact with the semiconductor element 70.
