PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low noise back switching regulator for low noise and high efficiency by forming an additional circuit limiting a negative voltage slew rate and positive and negative power supply through rates. SOLUTION: A regulator includes VIN, a negative voltage slew rate limiting circuit 44 connected in a space to the base of a transistor 16, and a negative current slew rate limiting circuit 46 connected to the VIN and the nodes VSW and VD of a current sense inductor 48. While a switch is being turned off, the circuit 44 provides the transistor 16 with base driving to control negative voltage slew rate. While the switch is being turned on and off, the circuit 46, when base driving is removed from the transistor 16, limits positive and negative current slow rates respectively. It is thus possible to obtain a back switching regulator circuit whose voltage and current slew rates are limited.
