PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce peak/average of an input signal without generating significant extraband radiation by separating the peak of an input signal based on the clipping threshold voltage and connecting the local extremum to the input signal made to be delayed for prescribed time. SOLUTION: A clipping threshold signal VCL is generated by a clipping threshold generator 10 and sent to a peak division unit 20. The unit 20 separates a peak of an input signal S(t) and generates a peak signal P(t). The local extremum of the signal P(t) has an extremum signal E(t) separated by a local extremum separation unit 30, is filtered on the basis of an impulse response of a filter 40 and has a peak elimination signal F(t) separated. The signal F(t) is superimposed upon a delay input signal S(t), generates an impulse clip signal I(t) and is further subjected to hardware clipping by a hardware limitation unit 70. |
