TOLL GATE FOR TOLL COLLECTION SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING EQUIPMENT OF TOLL GATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling equipments of a toll gate of an ETC(electric toll collection) system by using a small number of vehicle detectors. SOLUTION: In this toll gate of the ETC system provided with a radio communication equipment 21, a roadside indicator 26, a crossing gate 27 and plural vehicle detectors arranged along the lane with intervals, method three effectively functioning vehicle detectors 22, 23 and 25 are provided, thereby detecting a vehicle approaching with the 1st vehicle detector, detecting the vehicle approaching and the vehicle tail passing with the 2nd vehicle detector and detecting the vehicle tail passing with the 3rd vehicle detector. Then the radio communication start and end of the radio communication equipment, the display start and end of the roadside indicator and the opening/closing of the crossing gate are controlled on the basis of a detection signal of each vehicle detector. Thus, it is possible to control the equipments of the toll gate by using a small number of vehicle detectors.
