摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical information recording medium which suppresses cross- erasures and is suitable for recording and reproducing high density information and to obtain an optical information recording medium which ensures a high erasure rate, even in high density and high linear velocity overwriting and can record and reproduce information with small jitters. SOLUTION: A lower protective layer 2, a recording layer 3, an upper protective layer 4, an intermediate layer 5 and a reflection layer 6 are successively laminated on a transparent substrate 1. The upper protective layer has a heat conductivity higher than that of the intermediate layer and the intermediate layer has a heat conductivity higher than that of the reflection layer. The recording layer is formed at 4-16 nm thickness. A light absorption layer is used in place of the intermediate layer. In this case, the refractive index of the light absorption layer is made larger than that of the reflection layer by 2-6 times and the reflection layer is made thicker than the light absorption layer, or the light absorption layer is set at a film thickness d1 within the range of 0.1 &lambda;/(n1.k1)<=d1<=1.0 &lambda;/(n1.k1) (n1 is the refractive index of the layer and k1 is the extinction coefficient of the layer).
