PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical recording medium capable of reproduction in a high C-N ratio on the basis of information recorded on lands and grooves. SOLUTION: A magneto-optical recording medium 100 for land-groove recording has a 1st dielectric layer 2, a recording layer 3, a 2nd dielectric layer 4, a reflection layer 5 and a protective layer 6 in this order on a substrate 10. The thickness of the recording layer formed on a groove part 7 is larger than the thickness of the recording layer formed on a land part 8, and the thicknesses are adjusted so as to obtain a high C-N ratio from both recording marks separately formed on the land part and the groove part. The recording layer can be formed with bias sputtering. |
