<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily move a burying apparatus on the underwater bed by towing the apparatus by a platform or the like on the water, even if the surface of the bed is uneven. SOLUTION: A burying apparatus 10 is provided with an excavating body 11 for burying a cable C in underwater bed and with the longitudinal frames 14, which support the excavating body 11 both from the left side and from the right side. The left and right longitudinal frames 14 have a plurality of wheels 17, 17, etc., which roll on the underwater bed B, attached thereto via respective suspensions 16, 16, etc., so that the wheels can be moved upward and downwards relative to the frames 14. While the burying apparatus 10 is towed by a platform or the like on the water and moved on the underwater bed, the cable C is buried in the underwater bed. Since the plurality of wheels 17, 17, etc., are moved vertically relative to the longitudinal frames 14 via the respective suspensions 16, 16, etc., impact on the burying apparatus 10 is absorbed and the attitude of the burying apparatus 10 is stabilized, even when the burying apparatus 10 runs over an uneven surface.
