<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stripping the conductors of the shielded portions of a coaxial cable, wherein the conductors of the shielded portions can be stripped with stability for a long time without machining with an edged tool, and the conductors of the shielded portions of a multicore coaxial cable can be stripped simultaneously moreover under the same conditions. SOLUTION: An coaxial cable 1 is formed by coating a center conductor with an inner insulator 6, coating the inner insulator 6 with an outer conductor 3, and coating the outer conductor 3 with an outer coating insulator 2. The method for stripping coaxial cables comprises a process, in which part of the outer coating insulator 2, is removed to expose the outer conductor 3 and a process in which the exposed outer conductor 3 is dissolved in etching liquid 4. Thus the conductor of a shielded portion can be stripped stably over a long time. When the conductors of the shielded portion of a multicore coaxial cable is stripped, there is no need for striping the cores one by one, and the cores can be stripped simultaneously as well as under the same conditions.</p> |
