<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mercury recovery method from a great deal of mercury adhered glass bodies with a high energy-saving recovery efficiency. SOLUTION: A great deal of mercury adhered waste chip tubes are fed from a feeder 1 to a heating part 20. Then, a rotary tubular body 8 of an external heating type rotary furnace is heated by a gas burner 9 at the heating part 20, and while a temperature in the inside of the rotary tubular body 8 is controlled to be within a range of 350-500 deg.C mercury vapor which is generated at the heating part 20 is cooled at parts 3, 4 and recovered. Glass of which mercury is separated at the heating part 20 is recovered by glass recovery devices 5, 14. Accordingly, it is possible to vaporize the mercury of a great deal of the mercury adhered waste chip tubes by combustion gas in a short time and separate it from the glass so that the waste chip pipes can be recycled as cullet materials.</p> |
