PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of reducing false colors by relatively simple constitution by color-interpolating digital signals, preparing the image data of plural color planes, performing conversion from the color space of the plural color planes to the color space of a different color specification system, acting on converted color difference signals and reducing the false colors. SOLUTION: Gain adjustment of RGB is performed in a white balance circuit 8 to images converted into digital data, and they are generated as the three color planes for instance by a color interpolation circuit 9. For the image data of the color planes of three colors, after performing adjustment relating to the hues of the respective colors of RGB in a masking processing circuit 10, a processing required for displaying them at a display or the like is executed by a gamma conversion circuit 11. Also, by an RGB/YUV conversion circuit 12, the image data are converted from RGB signals to Y-color difference signals. Then, related to U and V which are the color difference signals, by false-color removal parts 13a and 13b, the false colors generated by color interpolation are reduced.
