PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deform a specific object in accordance with the size or position of another object. SOLUTION: Plural graphic objects are laid out on a display screen. The left sides of both rectangles C and D are aligned on a reference line L in a state where the rectangle C shown in a broken line and the rectangle D shown in a solid line are previously laid out. Then the rectangles C is designated as a deformation object and the rectangle D designated as a deformation reference object respectively, and the lateral direction is designated as a deforming direction. Thus, the rectangle C is automatically deformed so that the lateral width of the rectangle C is equal to that of the rectangle D. Then a deformed rectangle C is obtained. The deformation object can be deformed so as to secure a prescribed gap between the deformation reference object and the deformation object by designating the gap size between both objects.
