PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nameplate unit of which a projecting portion from the mounting surface part of a gatepost, wall, etc., is small, which can be installed to the gatepost, wall, etc., with a good fit thereto, and which is high in the degree of freedom in shape. SOLUTION: This nameplate has a nameplate body 2 which has an EL (electroluminescent) sheet and a circuit case body 4 which has a lighting circuit part 3 for lighting this EL sheet and is freely attachably and detachably fixed with the nameplate body 2 at its front face part. The EL sheet and the lighting circuit part 3 are electrically connected to and the circuit case body 4 is mounted to the mounting destination surface part so as to be embedded therein.
