<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To warrant time consecutiveness of a video image in a video server device that applies compression coding to information with temporal consecutiveness such as a moving picture, stores the compression-coded information to a storage medium and reproduces and serves the stored video image according to a request of a user. SOLUTION: A data management means 106 reads compression coded data of an HDD 104 to a work area 103a of a main storage device 103 or writes the compression coded data in the work area 103a to the HDD 104 according to an instruction of a request reception section 102. An input output management means 107 inputs/outputs the compression coded data to/from the work area 103a through an input output section 105. An area management means 108 is provided to the video server device, which varies an effective area of the work area 103a of the main storage device 103, so as to vary the effective area depending on a state of the work area 103a thereby keeping temporal consecutiveness of the compression coded data.</p> |
