PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speaker unit provided with a light emitting means that is made to emit light, accompanying changes in a sound volume. SOLUTION: This cone speaker unit consists of a cone-type diaphragm 11, a frame 18 that supports the cone-type diaphragm 11 via an edge 12, a voice coil 15 fitted to the circumferential edge of a center hole 13 at the base of the cone-type diaphragm 11, a damper 21 that supports the voice coil 15 retractively with respect to the frame 18, a magnet 27 surrounding the voice coil 15 and a base 23 to which the magnet 27 and the frame 18 are fixed. An LED circuit 28 is connected in parallel with the voice coil 15 and is placed on an LED fixing base 26 of a base 23 and an LED 31 is so arranged, that it can be viewed through the center hole 13 of the cone type diaphragm 11.
