<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target detection device and method therefor capable of avoiding the deterioration of an erroneous alarm rate while maintaining a specified target detection rate by suppressing the erroneous target detection against a clutter remaining signal. SOLUTION: The target-detecting device 1 calculates the correlation degree with an antenna beam pattern as a reference for signal strength after clutter suppression processing for a target that has been detected and evaluated by a conventional target detection means, thus judging whether the detection is erroneous due to clutter and eliminating an erroneous target due to the clutter. Also, by processing only a range that has been detected as a target, the amount of processing operation can also be reduced.</p> |
