PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wall of a building from becoming musty and stainful and from being corroded and an electric wire from short-circuiting, by providing the box- like main body of the wiring box at the lower end of a conduit and blocking the inside of the lower end of the conduit in such a way that no moisture can pass through the inside even when an electric wire is passed through the inside. SOLUTION: The box-like main body 11 of a wiring box is attached to the opening 21 of the inside wall of a building. A start-up short pipe 13 is provided to protrude from the upper surface of the roof section 12 of the main body 11 and a recessed section 131 is formed into the pipe 13, and a male screw 132 is provided on the internal surface of the section 131. Then a truncated conical packing 3 is put in the recessed section 131. A through hole 31 is made through the packing 3 and the electric wire 51 in a conduit 5 is passed through the hole 31. A cover is attached to the margin of an opening formed through the front face of the main body 11 through the packing 3. Even when water drops occur in the conduit 3 due to dew condensation, consequently, the infiltration of the water drops in the main body 11 is prevented by the packing 3. Therefore, the water drops do not moisten the wall of the building and the wall can be prevented form becoming musty and stainful and from being corroded and the electric wire can be prevented from short-circuiting. |
