PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a merchandise specification information storage device which shortens the time for retrieving restriction relation between the accessories. SOLUTION: The specification information storage device is an object-oriented database and holds the restriction relation between accessories fitted to an automobile in the form of matrix information. The matrix information has, as a structure, a matrix 12 wherein specifications of the accessories are arranged as items and is generated for each accessory in restriction relation. One piece of matrix information shows the restriction relation 15 between the accessories 13 as a combination of specification units of the accessories 13 and accessories having no restriction relation are not arranged together in an item, then the size of one piece of matrix information is very small. Matrix information relating to accessories 13 to be retrieved can directly be accessed. |
