PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a complicated manufacturing process such as a coating method, etc., unnecessary for forming external electrodes, and to make it difficult for the external electrodes to short-circuit with core electrodes when a large load is applied. SOLUTION: This is a cable-shaped pressure sensor composed by causing a flexible support 8 and a metallic layer 7 formed on its surface to constitute a flexible external electrode 9, and winding the metallic layer 7 around the surface of the flexible pressure-sensitive body 4. Accordingly, a manufacturing process complicated such as painting, etc., is not required. Besides, a sensor on which the external electrode 9 being a laminate of the metallic layer 7 and the support 8 is wound is also stronger against an additional load than one having only a metallic layer 7, and breaking of the wire and electrode is hard to occur, even if the pressure-sensitive body 4 is crushed by a large load.
