PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently apply magnetic field on an optical magnetic recording layer of an optical recording medium with a low power consumption as well as to execute making into high NA, and to suppress occurrence of discontinuity of a coil and others. SOLUTION: A magneto-optical head 25 is equipped with lenses 41, 42 to make light irradiating on a magneto-optical recording layer 2a of a magneto- optical disk 2 to converge and with a coil part 46 which is a magnetic field generating element arranged on the side opposite to the magneto-optical disk 2 on a coil-supporting substrate 44a on the lense 41. On the coil-supporting substrate 44a on the lense 41, a projecting part 44b is provided which is formed of an outgoing radiating surface 44d projecting from a recessed part 44c arranged with the coil part 46, towards the side of the magneto-optical disk 2.
