PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processor which can implement a normal function even in case of a fault by decreasing the probability of a shift to operation by a limited function due to a fault of a hard disk and eliminating the down time resulting from the fault of the hard disk. SOLUTION: The image processor is equipped with plural hard disks, a fault detecting means which detects a fault of a hard disk 108, and a recovery means which continues operation by using the remaining hard disk except the faulty hard disk detected by the fault detecting means in such a case or some or all of programs of the image processor are stored on more than one hard disk. In this case, the image processor is equipped with the fault detecting means and the recovery means which continues the operation by programs on the remaining normal hard disk when the fault detecting means detects a fault or a recovery means which continues the operation by programs on the hard disks and in a ROM 113. |
