PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error estimate device for direct spread reception data that can simply estimate a bit error rate from received data, and to provide a direct spread receiver. SOLUTION: A 1st stage interference canceller 51 generates a replica of an interference signal included in a direct spread signal on the basis of an output of a Rake reception section 3. The direct spread signal from which the effect of an interference signal is reduced is generated by subtracting the replica from the direct spread signal passing through a delay section 4, inverse spread processing is applied to the direct spread signal and received data are outputted.
