PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure sufficient adhesion between a polarizer film and a protective film by laminating the polarizer film and the protective film by way of a polyol- containing adhesive layer. SOLUTION: A polarizer film 2 and a protective film 3 are laminated by way of a polyol-containing adhesive layer 4. The polyol preferably has 2-6 hydroxyl groups and glycerol, ethylenediol, propylene glycol, tetramethylene glycol, pentaerythritol or a mixture of two or more such polyols may be used. The adhesive layer 4 may contain particles having 0.1-1 μm particle diameter. The material of the particles may be any of inorganic and organic materials. The polarizer film 2 is usually formed by drawing a PVA film and dyeing it with iodine or a dichroic dye. The protective film 3 is usually a TAC film. |
