PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a source code display device which has good visibility at source code reference time and makes it easy to understand the behavior of source codes by analyzing macro definition information and read source codes while referring to a source code group, deciding conditional syntax, and discriminating between effective and ineffective lines. SOLUTION: A source code analysis part 9 analyzes a display file 1 while referring to a source file in the source code group 3 according to macro information obtained from a compilation condition acquisition part 8 and a display file 1. Then the preprocessor syntax of conditioning in the source codes of the display file 1 is decided to discriminates between effective and ineffective lines. A source code display part 7 after processing the ineffective lines by a selected display system displays the data on the screen of a monitor 6. Consequently, the visibility at source code reference time is improved and the behavior of the source codes become easy to understand.
