PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well remove a printing material such as a toner and to improve durability, profitableness, bendability and handleability by using at least a base material layer comprising a nonwoven fabric of plastic fibers and a water- swellable surface layer. SOLUTION: A surface layer 3 is laminated on a base material layer 1 to obtain the objective recording material. The base material layer 1 is a nonwoven fabric of plastic fibers. The nonwoven fabric is not particularly limited if it is obtained by forming the plastic fibers in a sheet shape but the fibers are preferably arranged at random. The nonwoven fabric preferably has 70-180μm thickness, 30-150 g/m2 weight and <=15% elongation, in particular 90-170μm thickness, 50-100 g/m2 weight and <=10% elongation. The surface layer 3 comprises a water-swellable resin prepared by crosslinking a water-soluble resin, preferably polyvinyl alcohol having many hydroxyl groups. |
