PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply the information about a walk toward a destination in combination with the travel information on a vehicle by calculating one or more walking routes with the data stored in a map database for arriving the destination on foot from a position within a walking threshold value around the destination. SOLUTION: This navigation system 110 is provided with a position measuring system 124, a sensor 125, a user interface 131, a database 140 and a navigation programming 118. The navigation programming 118 is interlocked with a navigation application manager and is provided with a sub-program or a routine supplying the characteristic and function of a specific navigation function operated by the navigation system 110. This sub-program is provided with a route calculator, a route guide function and a map display function. A walking route calculation function uses walking threshold value parameters, and the parameters are set before one or more walking routs are calculated. |
