PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve part of a movie or a video image. SOLUTION: The retrieval system include a character image section 201 that displays at least one character in a story, a major scene image section 204 that displays at least one major scene of the story in which the character selected from the character image section appears, and a main image section 202 that displays one part of the story corresponding to a scene selected by entry of a user using a play control button and a major scene of the selected scene.
