PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the function of a universal serial bus(USB) system by allowing a test application to decide whether or not the response of the USB system to a test is effective. SOLUTION: A chapter-9 module 35 of the test application 30 generates a test request (standard device request) and parameters according to state information and transmits them to a chapter-9 module 41 of a test application driver 31 for adequacy confirmation. The module 41 confirms the adequacy of a command in the request structure and sends the request to the USB device. Then information sent from the device at the standard device request is returned to the application 30. The application 30 verifies that the USB device can provide proper device information at the standard device request.
