PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positional accuracy, when a lifter is provided in a magnetic head side for magneto-optical recording and a head main body is lifted or lowered, and to carry out fine-tuning for the improvement of the positional accuracy. SOLUTION: A magneto-optical recording magnetic head having a head main body 10 attached to the tip side of a gimbal spring 1 and a lifter 20 moved integrally with the magnetic head within a surface parallel to a recording medium surface are provided. Also, a fine-adjusting notched part 40 for a lower limit position is provided near the lifter abutting part 8a of a first stopper 8 for regulating the lower limit position of the lifter 20 when the head main body 10 is driven to be lifted or lowered between a lower position, which is in contact with the recording medium and an upper position away from the recording medium by the lifter.
