PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-protocol type management network, with which an installation cost of an access network use management network can be reduced with high reliability by using an existing management network of a carrier system optical wave transmission network in common. SOLUTION: This network is provided with a network management system 1, a carrier system optical wave transmission network 2 connected to the network management system 1, and access system networks 3-5 that are distributedly connected with the carrier system optical wave transmission network 2 and consist of data communication units coping at least with one communication protocol. The network management system manages the access system networks 3-5, by using a management message use communication band 15 to manage the carrier system optical wave transmission network 2 and a management message network among optical wave transmitters 11-14 of the network management system 1 and of the carrier system optical wave transmission network 2. |
