PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device constituted so that an image with excellent quality is outputted in a short time. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with at least an image carrier 2, a contact type electrification means 3 electrifying the surface of the carrier 2, an image exposure means 4 forming an electrostatic latent image at the surface 2a of the carrier 2 electrified by the electrification means 3 by exposing the image and a contact type transfer means 6 transferring a toner image formed at the surface 2a of the carrier 2 on a transfer material. Then, the transfer means 6 is provided with a bias applying means applying bias whose polarity is identical to that of the carrier 2 electrified by the electrification means 3. By the bias applying means, the bias whose polarity is identical to that of the carrier 2 electrified by the electrification means 3 is applied to the transfer means 6 before the surface 2a of the carrier 2 is electrified by the electrification means 3. |
