PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for presenting information on an appropriate battery replacing time. SOLUTION: The state that a battery is loaded is detected by a battery load detection circuit 2, and the number of frames photographed after loading the battery, and data on the number of times of emitting strobe light after loading the battery are stored in an EEPROM 8, and also, the number of photographing allowable frames is calculated by a CPU 1 based on the above data and the standard number of photographing allowable frames and data on the standard number of times of emitting the strobe light, and then, the number of photographing allowable frames is displayed on a liquid crystal panel 4. On the other hand, the remaining quantity of the battery is detected by a battery checking circuit 3, and when the remaining quantity of the battery is below a prescribed value, the number of photographing allowable frames is not displayed on the liquid crystal panel 4, then, the information on the battery replacing time is given at an early stage.
