PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level detection device provided with a function optimized for a fire-preventing water tank made of concrete with an easy execution and requiring no mounting fitting to facilitate a maintenance. SOLUTION: The fire-preventing water tank made of concrete is provided with a cylindrical mounting hole having a predetermined diameter; a larger cap portion 1 than the mounting hole; a cylindrical intermediate portion 2 having a diameter just fitted in the mounting hole; and a waterproof agent retaining portion 3 having a shape in which an upper portion of a cone is cut off having the same size as the intermediate portion 2. The retaining portion 3 retains an electrode bar 7 and a wiring 13. At least one pouring aperture 4 is provided so as to vertically penetrate through the cap portion 1 and the intermediate portion 2 and a position of the intermediate portion 2 bottom surface of the pouring hole 4 is positioned at the outside of a bonding portion of the intermediate portion 2 and the waterproof agent retaining portion 3.
