PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly set by anyone a type and an arrangement for a building not infringing a normal of a natural lighting effective area, in the building standardized in its type to some extent. SOLUTION: In this ruler 2, setback distances d1-d4, from a boundary line of an adjacent land, in wall center positions of respective protrusions, which are provided by dividing with a slope value of a natural lighting diagonal vertical distances h1-h4 from main protrusions provided in an upper side of an opening part upto a lower end of the opening part to be corrected thereafter taking wall thicknesses into account, are marked respectively by prescribed scales to be unidirectional from a common origin 20 along an edge part 21 of the ruler 2.
