PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a protection cover for covering a bolted terminal from coming off from a wire before fastening it. SOLUTION: In this protection cap mounting structure wherein a protection cap 10 with which a bolted terminal 1 connected to a wire termination is covered after the terminal is fastened and fixed with a bolt is mounted to the wire in advance, the protection cap is made of rubber or a flexible insulating resin, provided with a small diameter cylindrical part 10a and a dome shell- shaped electrical contact part covering part 10b continued to an end of the small diameter cylindrical part and having its lower surface opened, and is so structured that a tip 10b-1 of the electrical contact part covering part is positioned and held by abutting on a stepped part 1 g at the rear end on the wire connection side of the bolted terminal, and it is pulled up of the wire side so as to cover the bolted terminal and the bolt after the bolt is fastened and fixed to the bolted terminal 1.
