摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of the constituent elements of a current-control circuit by classifying coils for each type of coil through which current of the same phase passes and connecting the coils of the same type. SOLUTION: This electric rotating machine is provided with two rotors 3, 4 and a stator 2 which are coaxially formed into a three-layer structure. With the stator 2 formed with common coils 6, composite current is passed through the coils 6 so that the same number of rotating magnetic fields as that of rotors can be generated therein. For the respective rotors 3, 4, the current which is equivalent to three-phase alternating current is passed through the coils 6. When the ratio of the number of magnetic poles of the outer rotor 3 to that of the inner rotor 4 is selected to be 3 to 1, the coils 6 formed at the stator 2 are classified into 5 classes based on the phase of the current passing through the coils 6. By connecting coils of the same class, this machine is formed so as to be driven by the composite current which is equivalent to that for five phases. Therefore, the coils 6 through which a phase current passes requires a current-control circuit corresponding to that for one phase. For 5 types of coils, the constituent elements of the current-control circuit requires only those for 5 phases.
