PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recyclable recording material capable of removing a printing material, such as a toner by providing a substrate layer, an interlayer containing a polyvinylacetal resin and a water-swellable surface layer. SOLUTION: The substrate layer 1 has water-resistance and strength and it is made, preferably, of a plastic film having a transparent surface or a plastic film opacified by inorganic grains and the interlayer 2 is made of a polyvinylacetal resin acetalized by form-, acet-, propion-, or butyl- aldehyde or the like, and, preferably, polyvinylbutyal or polyvinylformal. The surface layer 3 is made, preferably, of a water-swellable resin, such as polyvinylalcohol having a large number of hydrophilic group.
