PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seatback for an automobile with superior product quality without giving a slip-up feeling to a passenger, even when a backward load is applied from the passenger to a pressurized member, while maintaining the function of protecting the neck of the passenger. SOLUTION: When a seatback is thrust by the face 4a of the rear side RR of a pressurized member 4 which is moved to the rear side RR after subjected to pressure from the back of a passenger during rear-end collision, a second stay 53 creeps up to the rear side RR along a second guide portion. In conjunction with the creep-up, a first stay 52 creeps up to the front side FR along a first guide portion 50, so that a head rest 3 can be moved to the front side FR as the head side of the passenger and to the upper side UP.
