PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous water-permeable flooring board having improved usability, walkability and appearance, and further having excellent durability by mixing indeterminate coarse grains of ceramics having specific particle diameters, with fine grains thereof in a specified proportion, and binding the mixed grains with a vitreous material. SOLUTION: This porous water-permeable flooring board 10 is produced as follows: adding >=70 pts.wt. indeterminate coarse grains 20 of ceramics, having 0.05-1.40 mm particle diameters to <=30 pts.wt. indeterminate fine grains 30 of the ceramics having <0.50 mm particle diameters so as to form 100 pts.wt. in total; adding 15-20 pts.wt. vitreous particles having <=0.25 mm particle diameters, and 10-20 pts.wt. water glass to 100 pts.wt. both indeterminate grains 20 and 30, and kneading the obtained mixture; repeating twice the step of adding 0.1-0.3 pt.wt. alcohol to the kneaded product and kneading the obtained product under heating, to provide granulate material having the dried surfaces of the water glass of the coating films on the particles; casting the obtained granulate material in a molding box and pressing the molding box to provide a tabular body; and baking the obtained tabular body in a furnace to solidify the tabular body. |
